If you are waiting for a future litter that has not yet been born, please note that there is approximately a two-month (about 65 days) gestation period following a successful mating. After birth, kittens remain with their mother for an additional twelve (12) weeks to ensure proper development, socialization, and health.
For these reasons, the process typically takes about five (5) months from breeding to the time your healthy, well-raised kitten is ready to join your family. This timeline reflects our commitment to responsible breeding and the well-being of every kitten.
Breeding exceptional Exotic Shorthair cats is my passion, balanced alongside my family life. I dedicate significant time to personally communicating with prospective Flatcat families, and the waitlist fee reflects a serious commitment while allowing for priority communication and personalized attention.
Your waitlist deposit will automatically transfer to the next available litter, and your position on the waitlist will be preserved. If a kitten is not selected within one (1) year of joining the Priority Waitlist, the waitlist fee will be forfeited.
If you are seeking specific traits, please note that while we carefully plan our pairings, we cannot guarantee or influence a kitten’s gender or color.
Once a pregnancy is confirmed, Priority Waitlist families will be personally notified and provided with the estimated due date. Following birth, priority families receive early access to photos and videos, along with detailed information regarding each kitten’s color and gender.
Kitten selection for Priority Waitlist families takes place privately before the kittens reach four to five weeks of age. Any kittens not reserved during this priority period may then be released for public availability on our website. All selections are made strictly in Priority Waitlist order, as shown on the top of this page.
Once you have selected your kitten, you will receive a request to submit your reservation deposit. No further action is required, as your application has already been approved. Please note that a kitten is not considered reserved until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance (purchase price minus the reservation deposit and Priority Waitlist fee) is due upon delivery.
Please complete our application and select “Yes” when prompted to join the Priority Waitlist. We will personally review your application and are happy to answer any questions you may have for us.
Once you are comfortable moving forward with the purchase of a Flatcat kitten, you will receive a request for the Priority Waitlist fee. This fee is fully applied toward the final purchase price of your kitten.
Flatcat Exotics kittens are placed quickly, and many are reserved privately before ever appearing on our website. For this reason, availability is limited and highly sought after.
If you’ve fallen in love with our kittens and are ready to provide a warm, loving home, we encourage you to follow us on social media and check our website regularly for any available kittens, then submit an application when one becomes available.
To increase your chances of securing your dream kitten, you may apply to join our waiting list. Families on the waiting list receive priority updates on upcoming litters, including early photos and videos of newborn kittens. This priority access allows waiting list families the first opportunity to choose and reserve a kitten.
A non-refundable waiting list fee of $150 is required to join and will be applied toward the final purchase price at the time of delivery.
